Google Reviews Disappearing? What can we do? 


  1. Check the link you’re providing or the link associated with your QR code. Ensure it’s the link Google provides and not a version with a search query attached. Our team can send you this link if you need it. 
  2. Make sure patients / clients do not use your wifi when posting a review. In fact, it’s best if they are not in your office when doing this.
  3. If you serve local customers and a review is left from someone across the country, Google may remove it.
  4. New email addresses may get flagged as fake reviews. Ensure anyone posting is posting from a real, established Google email address. 
  5. Don’t go weeks or months without reviews an then get a big push at once. Instead of massive email / text blasts asking for reviews all at once, create a system where you ask patients / clients daily. You want a steady stream, not a flood. 
  6. Respond to reviews when it’s appropriate. 
  7. If they’ve been removed by Google, it’s likely they will not return, even if submitting a Google Business Profile Support Ticket. According to Google’s own documentation, missing reviews that were flagged for policy violations are not eligible to reappear on your profile.
  8. If the Google review is written by an employee, a past employee, contains hateful speech, or mentions a competitor, it may violate terms of use and be removed. 
  9. Google Business Profile reviews must be 100% unique and not found  on other places around the web. If the patient posts the review to Yelp and Facebook and to Google, Google may remove it. This is insightful for people who have their reviews posted first to a site like Birdeye and then feeding secondarily to Google or other platforms. This will be causing regular interruption in your review generation strategy.
